I’m alive, just been busy with things that no one but gentoo people would be interested in.

Talked with ka0ttic about the ebuild quiz, which if you are reading this now..I’m sending now. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it could be, but then that’s the pessimist in me. What else, still need to work on rufus, its a bit of a problem because it wants to install everything into /usr/share/rufus. This is of course not the way we want to do it. I can probably do a quick fix on it, just have to talk to one of our python gurus about some of the factors about what goes into /usr/lib/python-${PV}/site-packages and if they can be called as active elements etc. Live and learn.

Found out as well that I didn’t get the job in oregon, which is quite the bummer. Course my mother didn’t like me joking about being the first place loser, but its so true. I’m a half empty glass person if you can’t tell. Corey Shields was also nice enough to say that he’d keep a eye out for me. Its always helpful to have eyes in the area you are looking at, so thanks once again for that.

Beyond that, self evaluations suck. Everyone who’s filled one out knows it and dreads the time of year where it feels like you are interviewing for your own job yet again. To top it off, getting 2/3 days to fill it out just doesn’t give enough time to elaborate fully on what you want to say.
