Happy 27th birthday wherever you are. I hope you are alright and are finding some happiness. I still haven’t found what you say I deserve.
Well I got some stuff down with the help of Halcy0n this weekend. The mailserver fully works now with imap. I could do everything local before but now anywhere woo! Heading to bed. I’ll probably update this later today *yawn*
1.redo the stuff I need to for the ebuild quiz
2. ssl
3. Some easy way for people to grab the overlay. Opinions are appreciated on this. CVS? SVN? tarred up?
4. mail stuff so I can send.
5. learn to go to bed at a decent hour, so I get more sleep before the 7am shifts.
Well, the trials continue with beep-media-player. It will now compile, however playing is still beyond what I can do right now with it. I’ve sent a one line patch so far to fix at least one typecast. There’s many many more, as well other errors that are just not nice. A bit I think is the amd64 system I’m using so I really need to boot up the amd XP 2800 machine and see how it builds there…
Got the system working again after a mistake by my part…Whooops! Still take a bit of time to get everything back to normal but it could of been far far worse. Sorry for all those people looking for ebuilds etc.
Fun fun dependencies, for the new 0.10.1 release of beep media player. For starters, it requires >=2.7.5 of gtk+ which as any good gentoo devotee will know, is hard masked. Cairo >=0.9.0, also hard masked. The third optional (which is a nice addition to the base) is dbus>=0.35.2, is as if you can’t guess masked.
I’m going to be testing it out. Course chainsaw is no doubt already working on it. I’ll probably poke him a bit later to talk about it. Not that it will make it into the cvs tree as anything other then [M] hard masked. Should be interesting non the less
Oh, to top it off, seems that none of the patches for gentoo apply cleanly, so will have to investigate if they are still needed, have been applied upstream, or otherwise have to be modified to the new code. Currently the build fails here on the amd64 box. I’ll work on it tomorrow etc.
Worked 2 graves, graves suck. Switching back to days tomorrow..have today to recover which is considered a “day off”. Graves to days takes 2 days to recover from.
Note to self: work on quiz, work on program.
